Buyer (Temporary)

Location             : London
Hours                   : fulltime
Reporting to     : Head of Buying

The Job:

As a Buyer you build and develop merchandise collections following a brief/assignment from asset. You optimize sales, margins and stock turn. Furthermore, you are responsible for a strategic product assortment planning and you are the main contact with assets in the buying/sourcing team. You work closely together with other buyers in the buying team where everyone is responsible for their own set of assets.


Responsibilities:

  • Plan the collections in close contact with the asset and internal Sales team; products, quantities, price levels, list prices, margins;
  • Responsibility for product price, stock turns and product margins;
  • Critical Path Management, including MOQ and leadtime management, photography and order placements;
  • Cooperation with Design to build the collections;
  • Internal analysis of sales, price levels, bestselling products and margins;
  • Create, follow up and lead the product development phase in conjunction with sourcing;
  • Manage Article Plan and Time plan for product development, internally and externally;
  • Drop Shipment orders, customized production;
  • Negotiate with supplier of best price and product value;
  • Secure best choice of supplier in conjunction with the rest of the business;
  • Management of Trimmings/Packaging with external supplier;
  • Responsible for the Product Line Management (PLM) system for the respective area;
  • Follow up repeat orders;
  • Adhere to business protocol and practices.

 

Day-to-day Tasks

  • Responsibility to deliver all merchandise opportunities across the asset as presented by sales, in a bid to deliver budgeted sales and margin;
  • Day to day management of supply base on all issues from design right through to delivery; inc. negotiations and improving commercial income through improved efficiencies;
  • Regular updates with equivalent counterpart on the sales team, to ensure all objectives and deadlines are aligned and all opportunities are exploited;
  • Communication and coordination with sourcing offices and aligning all relevant parties (logistics, design etc) to the critical path;
  • Alongside sales, develop and drive the direct relationship with relevant contact within the asset so that all approval processes run smoothly;
  • Sample management.

 

The Requirements:

  • Thorough experience in product management, product development and sourcing
  • Experience of international business
  • Good computer and system skills
  • Excellent in communication and negotiation

SALES MANAGER

Location             : London
Hours                 : fulltime
Reporting to     : Head of Sales Retail & Distribution
Date                      : August 2019

 

The Job:
The Sales Manager leads and coaches the Account Managers to exceed budgeted sales and gross margin by month, quarter and asset, coupled with building relationships and pro-actively exploring new commercial opportunities that add value to the brands we represent.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead on the development of Retail & Distribution channels plans for Europe, Middle East and North America;
  • Introduction of new accounts with a specific focus on ‘Main stream’ Businesses;
  • Mentor and motivate account managers (2) and identify training and development needs;
  • Identifying market opportunities;
  • Go To Market & Sales Launch responsibility coordinating involved functions, sales tools and documentation;
  • Liaise with the production team on all stock ordering requirements by asset;
  • Work closely with the customer service team to ensure that all orders from the division are managed from order placement through to dispatch;
  • Networking in order to generate new business for the company;
  • Monthly reporting on sales performance against budget and reporting on variances;
  • Evaluate, manage and control distribution quality.

 

The Requirements: 

  • Proven Sales Record;
  • Strong Retail Network and key account exposure;
  • Sales and margin focused;
  • Exceptional attention to detail;
  • Excellent understanding of sales agreements and financials;
  • Passionate self-starter and team player;
  • Pro-active, with excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Clear and accurate reporting to Head of Sales;
  • Confident, personable, and ‘hands on’ with an ability to build relationships quickly;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
